Acceptance in Nepal: American Express® Cards are accepted at all HBL POS terminals, most Apline POS terminals and all HBL ATMS in the country along with its international acceptances depending on the card type.

The Himalayan Bank American Express® Gold Credit Card comes in two variants covering all your life’s needs.

• The Gold Credit Card for Domestic use (NPR) is valid in Nepal & India
• The Gold Credit Card for International use (USD) is valid worldwide except India.

International (USD) Gold Credit Card: USD 2,000 – USD 5,000

Fees and Charges

Minimum 18 years of age

• Individuals with regular income (Salary, Rent, Business, etc.)
• For USD Gold Credit Card USD/EUR/GBP account and income source documents.
• HBL Super Premium Savings Account (SPSA) holders are also eligible to apply for Himalayan Bank American Express® Gold Credit Card Domestic (NPR) limit of at least Rs. 100,000.00 by earmarking the minimum SPSA balance (equivalent to card limit) as security.

• Latest Passport size photograph (1 copy)

Note: Beside the above documents, additional documents may be required on case to case basis as required by the HBL Management.

• Domestic (NPR) Gold Credit Card: 25%* OR 100% of total dues/outstanding to be settled (*If 25% then you are required to settle 25% of total dues/outstanding OR Rs.25,000.00 whichever higher)
• International (USD) Gold Credit Card: 100% of dues/outstanding to be settled.

• E-Statement through e-mail (email address to be provided present in Application Form). If you do not receive your monthly card e-statement, please contact us urgently.
• Collect (from the HBL Branch Customer Services where the application was processed or HBL Card Center, Head Office, Kamaladi, Kathmandu)

Note: Billing/Statement Date: 1st of each English Calendar month.

• Repayment Method: Account Debit (recommended) OR Cash*

*Cash settlement can be done from your nearest HBL branch. In case of FCY Cash deposit, you may be required to submit FCY source verifying document/s to HBL.

• Payment Due Date: 15 days from Statement Date (as specified in the Card Statement as Payment Due Date).
